Reading the Gonzo Letters, Volume II has really changed my perception of Oscar Zeta Acosta, a.k.a. Dr. Gonzo. Beforehand I’d mainly just known of him through Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and some random factoids here and there, like the supposed circumstances of his death and whatnot. But in the Gonzo Letters you really see another side of the dude. He was pretty legit, a real interesting dude. His letter exchanges with Hunter Thompson are fucking awesome. I wish I could’ve hung out with those two crazy bastards.
